1977年、中西俊夫、佐藤チカ、立花ハジメを中心に結成。1979年にラフ・トレードから英国デビューし、YMO、P-MODELらとテクノポップのムーヴメントを起こした。2016年に正式再結成。
Formed in 1977 around Toshio Nakanishi, Chica Sato and Hajime Tachibana. Plastics debuted in Britain on Rough Trade in 1979 and helped start the technopop wave with YMO and P-Model. They formally re-formed in 2016.
