TIME – David Bowie by Masayoshi Sukita
Photographer Masayoshi Sukita has taken David Bowie’s photograph for more than 40 years and in 2014 will hold an exhibition of Bowie in Tokyo. The Exhibition is called ‘TIME’ and it is the ‘time’ of Sukita and Bowie that has, until now, remained largely unknown. While everything around them changed, as the photographs clearly show, nothing has changed.
The venue is the beautiful space of ‘Aoyama SPIRAL’ located at the heart of central Tokyo. The art director is Hideki Nakajima, one of the most highly respected Japanese designers and art directors of all time, awarded several NY ADC prizes and designer of many a record sleeve and album cover for Ryuichi Sakamoto and YMO.
Such a rare opportunity to see so many great photographs on one place, the exhibition also celebrates the release of Bowie's latest song “Sue (In a Season of Crime)” and new compilation 'NOTHING HAS CHANGED’.
